Barney Desroches

Hello!

Last week I was in Tokyo, Japan on vacation when I placed my initial post to our EWYL blog -- from a Kinko's Copy center on a pay-by-the-minute computer (yes, Kinko's exists in Japan, along with KFC, Starbucks, Seattle's Best, and just about every other common franchise). Anyway, now that I'm back to San Mateo, I can finally include a photo.

I work at The Carey School in San Mateo, an independent Pre-K - 5th grade school. I am the technology director, which means I do a little of everything to support the faculty, staff and students. In addition, I teach computers to all students in our Mac computer lab on a weekly basis. I really love my job, and the enthusiastic kids I teach. I look forward to incorporating the new technologies and curriculum we develop in the EWYL program into my classroom.

I've enjoyed learning a little about each of you via this blog, and can't wait to meet all of you July 9th! What an interesting and dynamic group!

See you soon!

Barney
